Dimitra is a Professor (Assistant) in Information Management in the Faculty of Society and Culture at Northumbria University. She worked as a business consultant both in the UK and abroad and she has wide-ranging experience in the implementation and use of information systems (IS) in the retail, sales and service sectors. Her research is focused in the area of IS and approaches to IS implementation. She has a particular interest in the human aspect of IS implementation since IS often fail not because of technological drawbacks but because end users either do not accept new technologies or do not know how to use them. Her areas of research include digital transformation in organizations, implementation and use of AI, social media firestorms, knowledge management, and the impact that digital technologies have on organizations while her research is focused on Qualitative methods.
